After the first e-mail was sent it was Dion who was the first to reply. He wrote: a simple get-together will do for me and suggested a venue, Farrah Hotel function room, . . . in addition Patio Alejandra (2nd floor) or Maria Cristina Hotel . . . plus Cafe Hermoso.
He was instrumental in contacting Cris and Bampi, and sought their contribution -- one lechon!
He made a list of responsible persons for the affair, even suggested the respective in-charge.
On later e-mails: he put the choices on the table: Venue: a) Beach b) Restaurant/Hotel and c) Out-of-Town. He also volunteered a cost-benefit analysis on the contribution fees.

He cautioned everybody that "The contribution will not be enforced but will be demanded! For those not attending, kindly give your contribution to those who will attend."
He hopefully dreamed that souvenirs - ceramics or engraved ballpen or whatever suggestions, be made to mark the event! Unfortunately, however, good intentions as they maybe, became wishful thinking.
He double-thought on the date because of the rumor that January 18th, the end of Ramadan, will not be declared a holiday. And Jong saved the day!
