The Body "Real Estate"
The body politic is ideally a thinking body. If all bodies are bodies politic, we consist of thought, and little else. So there must be another body, what I will call the body "real estate". This is the sensual body that obeys the mind. Its a metaphor.
For example, you build skyscrapers by standing on one leg in the shower. Sex is a kind of manufacturing. Yoga is a growing business. A long walk might be entertainment or research speculation. All of these are ways of making good on your body real estate.
Let's consider. Socially different things are possible for you than for other people. Sometimes it seems like others survive impossible odds as though they're all tight-rope walkers and you're the only one with feet on the ground. They're using their body real estate to build wonders of the world, while you must struggle to make the smallest change.
The truth is, each person has some degree of mastery over his or her own body real estate. We're all tightrope walkers, we just have to learn to value our own tricks. Its true that occassionally our abilities only become known in times of hardship. But you can teach yourself that you are actually more fully capable when the world treats you right. The body "real estate" may actually be the art of productive leisure.
