The
Book of Indra is an online collection of contemporary insights.         To get a feel for the sort of writing I'm looking for, I recommend  Part One, which is in progress.

No prizes are given at this stage, as I am not a wealthy man. If this collection ever reaches book length, and I pursue publication, I would give compensation from sales proportional to the number of entries within the book that a given contributor submitted. You would maintain rights to publish your contribution anywhere else, including in any book of yours.

Snippets of writing are welcome, with some stipulations:

       1. This is a sort of book of mysteries. I value enigma, beauty, and
eloquence. So submissions should have one or several of those
           qualities.

       2. Special preference is given to writing which relates to the
idea of the Mirror of Indra, especially

                         A. A thought which returns to its beginning,
                            reflecting the one-in-all, and all-in-one.

                         B. Using symbols, especially eyes, mirrors, nets,
                            webs, jewelry, necklaces, tightropes, windows,
bridges, ladders, reflecting pools, roads, rivers, the
                            world, the universe, philosophical concepts
                            (neumena, noosphere), transformation, peacock
                            feathers...

                          C. Having a mythological feel, or sense of
                              timelessness.

Submissions are welcome. Not all entries will be published,
although I may begin a secondary page for runners-up.

Submissions that match my entry requirements will be
posted on the Book of Indra page along with the authors name,
if it is provided. A seperate page will list any additional contact
information provided, including any web addresses, or e-mail,
       if appropriate.

     Submissions may be sent to:
[email protected]

But first, I recommend visiting Part I of the Book of Indra
     which is in progress.
