KEY TERMS

Pragmatism may be experiential, but Iterative Positivism~1 asks the individual to be conceptual, in order to arrive at new perspectives and experiences. The present portion is the beginnings of a theory for a justice system that is just.

Official qualities are the properties expected of an individual in a given situation. These are the product of the Official Role, which is made up of fundamental needs, core identity values, and the potential for any criminal activity relative to norms of deviance.

Moral qualities are the properties expected of an individual in a moral situation. These are the product of social and cultural obligations and the principles associated with the individuals Official Role. In addition, some individuals may attain merit by conforming to a specific Ethical Role.

Footnote:

1. Pragmatism and positivism have a similar meaning to me, because of their similar role in an iterative philosophy. I tend to use positivism as a term for a philosophy of optimism, rather than in the traditional sense as neo-empiricism. For the present these terms will not be used in the remainder of the writing on justice, yet they have importance to me, and they are bound to be recurring references, implied if not invoked, especially in reference to the Unity Philosophy.
