Justice Through Universal Iterative Confirmation ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| Priority Someone with a physical dependency has an obligation to end the dependency. Someone with a physical need would be judged on its seriousness. i.e. it could be permissable for a starving man to steal food, but not if it endangers others. We often assume that needy people are dangerous, but this may not always be soin fact, they may be less dangerous when their needs are addressed. In the case of arbitrating a single justice case, identities that fulfill needs, promote or work for themselves, and distract or prevent harmful or needy behavior have priority over needy harmful identities that demote others. In the case of arbitrating a single justice case, people with cultural or social obligations have priority over those with an unnecessarily or counterproductively deviant identity, especially if the former have reported an Ethical Role. Official Role in relation to justice, is concerned with ordinary practical matters such as fulfillment or neglect of duties. Ethical Role" in relation to justice, concerns the larger questions, which only concern the justice system when someones innocence is in question. Thus, a moral argument can and should be supported by an Official Role, because someone without a role has no defense. Major moral arguments are only made for crimes with multiple victims, or deviance from an official role. NEXT |
