About Writing by Nathan Coppedge ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Here I do my best to honor a number of woman writers, but only by way of imitation. Annie Dillard's The Writing Life, Natalie Goldberg's Writing Down the Bones, and Anne Lamott's Bird by Bird serve as my examples. Each is a handbook on writing, written to encourage those who for the most part have already made up their minds (or will we ever know?). Of course, I have my own point of view. As I become more fluent in the Tao of writing, I intend to append further entries, mostly to express wonder and courage at the power of the written word. I hope others will find encouragement here to make their own journeys into that most impossible and all-embracing art that is writing.
