Annie Dillard's The Writing Life, Natalie Goldberg's Writing Down the Bones, and Anne Lamott's Bird by Bird serve as my examples. Each is a handbook on writing, written to encourage those who for the most part have already made up their minds (or will we ever know?).
Of course, I have my own point of view. As I become more fluent in the Tao of writing, I intend to append further entries, mostly to express wonder and courage at the power of the written word. I hope others will find encouragement here to make their own journeys into that most impossible and all-embracing art that is writing.
