Like almost anything in this world, making a movie takes extreme dedication and practice. When most people think of a movie they simply think of the actors and the director, but there are so many more behind the making of a film: the screenwriter, costume designers, cinematographers, set designers, producers, composers, entertainment engineers, and so much more. Each of these roles plays a huge part in the development of a film, big or small.
To achieve greatness in these roles, one has to truly understand film and the easiest way to understand movies is to watch them. As a person watches movie after movie, in different genres, and by different directors, he begins to see styles. He sees the angles a shot can be taken at, the lighting that can be done, and how music can set the entire mood for a scene. There is no small part in making a movie. |
