ACHIEVING

GREATNESS
DREXEL UNIVERSITY
Drexel University as a whole is a major influence on the students that are a part of it. The system of the university, the staff, and the oppurtunities it offers push the students towards greantess.

One of the largest  aspects of Drexel that helps one achieve greatness is its co-operative education program. This provides students with hands on experience in the profession of their choice. This helps better skills and knowledge within a certain field and prepares them for the "real-world." The experience places them at the top of the list of candidates for open positions because they already have plenty of experience in the working world.

Another highlighted point in the introduction to the University is how students are taught to be responsible citizens and recognize the need to give back to the community. One of the freshman requirements is 5 hours of community service. Even though it is not a lot, the feeling that one gains when helping others is overwhelming.

The University also attemtps to create "well-rounded students" through arts and humanitites. There are various art galleries througout campus. Our founder, Anthony J. Drexel had a goal of "incorporating art, culture, and technology in education," and through all this helps create well-rounded students. All of this information was gathered in a welcome letter by President Papadakis. Therefore, they are the main points that Drexel stresses to achieve with each student.
