Story takes place somewhere within season 5. Dawson is dating Jen, there was no Joey and Wilder incident. Does Charlie exist? Do I care? It can be assumed that the fic takes place after Dawson and Oliver's movie has been filmed, but as mentioned certain things never happened. Story begins with joey being caught in a rather compromising position with some unknown guy and 'shows' the events that led up to that point. Essentially the fic takes place within a 2 week period.
