VIOLET CITY
It's time to start catching some Pok�mon to add to your team. You may capture the bug pokemon Caterpie, a Sentret or a Pidgey in the tall grasses. You can also get a Geodude in Dark cave. Also at night you can get a hoot-hoot and even a Gastly
Now that you have some Pok�mon, travel to Violet City and then to the
gym. To get to Violet City go back north of Cherrygrove until you
get to the part where the path forks in two. The part to the right leads to Mr.
Pok�mon's house and the path to the left leads to Violet. There
are some trainers to battle to get your Pokemon experience.
Before you battle the gym leader though, you will meet some weaker trainers with
Flying-type Pok�mon. The only real purpose they serve is to give you valuable
experience points and helps you to level up your Pok�mon. Now that
you have dealt with them, battle Falkner, the gym leader.

Once you beat him you will receive the Zephyr Badge, which increases the
Attack of all of your Pok�mon, plus it allows you to use Flash at any
time.
Exit the Gym and Elm will call you . His assistant is at Pok�mon Center in
Violet
City. After you have answered
"yes" to his question, you will give you the egg. Eventually the egg
will hatch into Togepi.
There's also a house in Violet that you can trade a Bellsprout for an Onix.
Now go to the northern part of town to find a large tower named Sprout Tower.
You'll encounter Sages with Bellsprout and the occasional Hoothoot. Proceed to
the top of the tower, beat the head sage and receive HM05 Flash.
