Proto - RC Speed Car
The idea behind the Proto1

The original idea was to build a 1/10 scale radio controlled model car which would be both extremely fast in a straight line as well as, with a few modifications, being a good performer on the touring circuit.  Obviously these two requirements put certain compromises on the design such that it can not be perfect at either task, however with a few interchangeable parts I think it can be respectable at both.  The Proto1, "first prototype" was designed over a period of about five weeks on paper.  Then, after all of the necessary commercial parts were ordered and received, manufacture began.  Read about the whole process in these pages.  Total work time was about 4 months.

Proto 2 - SECOND PROTOTYPE complete

Its been a while (over a year) since the start of the Proto1 project.  The second prototype has much improved rocker front suspension and a full aerodynamic ground-effect undertray.
