Teil 1:Die Einladung -
Part 1: The Invitation
Eigentlich hatten sich Simon und Claudia schon damit abgefunden, in diesen Sommerferien daheim in Sehnde bleiben zu müssen. Da kommt Onkel Oles Einladung, ihn auf seiner Reise in die Grafschaft Kent zu begleiten, natürlich sehr gelegen. Allerdings sollte sich Onkel Ole (der Golfprofi) vielleicht doch ein anderes Navigationssystem für diese Reise besorgen.
Actually Simon and Claudia had already resigned to the prospect of having to stay at home in their Northern German town for the summer holiday. You know, Daddy's old car had been crushed by one of the "players" after a memorable elephant polo match between Algermissen and Sehnde, and now he had to buy a new car and is - consequently - short of money for a trip to Italy. On the other hand, who would go a Italy as a German tourist this summer anyway? But as a matter of fact, Uncle Ole, who is an international golf pro, invites the two children to accompany him to the county of Kent in England. While Uncle Ole will be playing at Sandwich, the Flunkert kids are to explore the "treasures" of the southeastern part of England.
Teil 2: Der Zwischenfall auf der Fähre -
Part 2: The Ferry Incident
Claudia, Simon und Onkel Ole sind auf dem Weg nach England. Die Fahrt mit der Fähre von Calais nach Dover wird für die beiden spannender als erwartet.
Claudia, Simon and Uncle Ole are on their way to England. Taking the ferry from Calais to Dover turns out to be more exciting than the children had expected it to be.

Part 3: They All Speak English Here
Die drei sind in England angekommen. Vor allem für Claudia ist der Alltag auf der Insel zunächst etwas ungewohnt.
The three of them have arrived in England. Especially to Claudia everyday life in England seems to be somewhat exotic.
Teil 4: Der Besuch bei Mister Charles Dickens -
Part 4: Visiting Mr Charles Dickens
An ihrem ersten vollen Tag in England wollen Claudia und Simon das Charles Dickens Museum in Rochester besuchen. Gähn, Gähn - denkt sich Claudia zunächst. Aber dann erzählt ihr dieser geheimnisvolle Fremde viele spannende Dinge über Charles Dickens und über seine Geschichten.
On their first full day in England Claudia and Simon are visiting the Charles Dickens Centre in Rochester. Yawn yawn - at least that's what Claudia thought she would do. But then she meets this mysterious stranger who tells her so many exciting things about Charles Dickens and his stories.
Teil 5: Chaos am Nullmeridian -
Part 5: Chaos at the Zero Meridian
Simon und Claudia fahren nach Greenwich, um den Nullmeridian zu sehen und mal auf ihn drauf zu treten. Dass sie an diesem Tag noch ganz schön nass werden würden, damit haben sie nicht gerechnet.
Simon and Claudia go to Greenwich to see (and step on) the prime meridian. They don't know yet that they will get quite wet in the course of the day.
Teil 6: Die großen Lügen von London -
Part 6: The Big Lies of London
Simon und Claudia machen gemeinsam mit ihren englischen Freunden Jack und Jill einen Ausflug nach London. Bereits im Zug begegnet ihnen diese hochnäsige Schulklasse aus Süddeutschland. Bei der Stadtrundfahrt treffen sie die wieder. Und da die Kinder aus Bayern einen deutschsprachigen Reiseführer brauchen, sieht Simon die Chance auf einen großen Spaß.
Simon and Claudia make an excursion to London with their English friends Jack and Jill. On the train they encounter those arrogant school-children from Southern Germany. On the sightseeing coach they unfortunately meet them again. And as those children from Bavaria need a German-speaking guide, Simon volunteers. And he tells them "facts" you wouldn't have dreamt of.
Teil 7: Auf dem Sportplatz der Kuriositäten -
Part 7: On the Curiosity Sportsground
Die Geschwister Flunkert sammeln auf einem Sportplatz erstaunliche Erkenntnisse. Komischerweise spielt dabei Sauerkraut eine Rolle.

Teil 8: Heul, Baby! -
Part 8: Cry, Baby!
Inzwischen ist es Sonntag, und Onkel Ole bittet die Kinder, ihn zum Golfturnier nach Sandwich zu begleiten. Aber anstatt ihm zuzugucken, nehmen sie an einem Karaoke-Wettbewerb teil. Ach, hätten sie nur ein anderes Lied genommen!
It is Sunday, and Uncle Ole urges the children to accompany him to the golf tournament in Sandwich. But instead of watching him play, they take part in a karaoke competition. Oh, I wish they had opted for another song!
