Volunteers Needed

Yeshiva- Jewish Legion Program

Many Jewish students from the Diaspora, after completing High School continue their Torah study full time, with many doing so in the land where the Mitzvot were given for.

In, order to fill the Mitzvot of Lemudei Torah, with the commandment of Pichuach Nefesh the Jewish legion has opened a Yeshiva in Kfar Tapuach.

As of now, daily Shiurim are given by Lenny Goldberg, who is fluent in both English and Hebrew, and an editor of a Parsha sheet that is distributed throughout Israel.  Weekly shiurim are also given by Rabbi Yehuda Richter.

Students learn half the day, Gemara, Halcha, Tanach, and inyunei Eretz Yisrael.  The other parts of the day volunteers take part in training, guarding as well as time off where they can take care of all their personal needs.

All Jewish Legion volunteers' needs are provided:

  • Kosher Lemahdrin meals are served 3 times daily, in the JL mess hall.
  • Housing in regular homes in Tapuach, similar accommodations elsewhere.
  • Laundry room provided
  • Computer room with Internet access (for communicating with relatives back home)
  • Landline phones on site (Although cell-phones are extremely cheap to purchase or rent)
  • Yeshiva studies also available in Itamar
  • Financial Aid for other needs are given to volunteers monthly.
Note: The Yeshiva program of the JL continues to expand this page will therefore be updated as more information is provided.
