Volunteers Needed

For those who have decided on making Aliyah, and wish to start their rest of their lives in a community, and place where their integration of their new lives can take place. The Jewish Legion is the right place to do this with.

The Jewish Legion Aliyah program prepares Olim for their new future and all that awaits them ahead. Preparation includes that for army service as well as Ulpan (Intensive Hebrew) given in Tapuach, all this while helping to save Jewish lives.

The Jewish Legion will provide an ideal atmosphere that will allow Olim to get both physically fit and mentally ready for army service and is an ideal place to ask soldiers based in Tapuach and Jewish Legion volunteers, who have gone through the IDF, what to expect, do and say when their conscription day occurs.

The Jewish Legion, also understands the government paperwork and bureaucracy that Olim must go through, and will help volunteers make this go as quick and painless as possible.

Volunteers can also participate in the other various programs (Yeshiva, College, etc), depending on when they are expected to enter the IDF. The Jewish Legion is also working to make it possible for Jewish Legion volunteers to do their army through the Nachal framework, and or help volunteers get into the unit that they want. (Although all decisions are made by the IDF).

All Jewish Legion volunteers' needs are provided:

• Kosher Lemahdrin meals are served 3 times daily, in the JL mess hall. 

• Housing in regular homes in Tapuach, similar accommodations elsewhere.

• Laundry room provided

• Computer room with Internet access (for communicating with relatives back home)

• Land-line phones on site (Although cell-phones are extremely cheap to purchase or rent)

• Financial Aid for other needs are given to volunteers monthly.
