Join Jewish Legion

Volunteers Needed

Many volunteers from North America have dropped everything to come Israel and help save Jewish lives. This is why the Jewish Legion is trying to allow volunteers to continue their normal lives as much as possible, and therefore to continue their education while volunteering.  

The Jewish Legion has arranged through the College of Judea and Samaria (Ariel College) for full scholarships for all its volunteers.

Students can continue in a wide range of programs, such as Engineering, Science, Social science, and for those interested Jewish studies is available as well. (Check for what programs are available, and how you can transfer your credits if you plan on finishing in the US). 

The student population of Ariel is approximately 6,500 and draws Jews from many different backgrounds from all over Yesha, and central Israel.  Dozens of Israeli - Ariel College students dorm in Tapuach, ensuring that you will know people who can answer any question about the college, how to get around and so on, even before your first visit to Ariel.

All Jewish Legion volunteers' needs are provided:

• Kosher Lemahdrin meals are served 3 times daily, in the JL mess hall. 
• Housing in regular homes in Tapuach, similar accommodations elsewhere.
• Dan Bus line passing through Tapuach to Ariel and vice-versa throughout the day
• Laundry room provided
• Computer room with Internet access (for communicating with relatives back home)
• Land-line phones on site (Although cell-phones are extremely cheap to purchase or rent)
• Financial Aid for other needs are given to volunteers monthly.
