Working in Partnership to help local people participate in resident involvment across Hartlepool.

Training
The council recongnise that if tentants are to make a meaningful contribution to the decision making process, they require access to good quality training. A partnering arrangement has been developed with Skillshare who are a Hartlepool based independent training provider. Training will be provided to groups and individuals in:

* Committee Skills and Roles
* Developing Constitutions
* Team working
* Book Keeping

The Council will also provide training in issues including:
* Council Policies
* Best Value
* Stock Transfer

In addition to this attendance is encouraged at regional training events including those organised by North East Council for Tenants and Residents (NECTAR).

Quay to Success.
Hundreds of people converged at a major tourist attraction to learn more about how to secure cash for good causes. Two hundred delegates from throughout the North-East gathered at Hartlepool's Historic Quay to discuss methods of graining funding for residentled projects.

Organiser Eddie Price said "The event brought together lots of people from the North-East to share their expertise on how to raise funding for community projects, the conference was all about sharing information and helping each other which can only be benefical for those attending.
