oor wee soap opera! We want tae introduce the characters an tell ye a
wee bit aboot them..... THE
CAST The
MacSweens (Number 3) Maggie
MacSween..................a wee hoosewife who dreams o wan day winnin the lottery
an buying a big hoose in the posh area up the road. But in the meantime she
works part time cleaning lavvys at the local pub. Tam
MacSween........a self made eejit.....he disnae work as the kind o job he wants
hasnae come up yet but he is prepared tae wait.....he spends his time reading
Ladbrokes papers an having a wee get the gether wi his mates. Kylie
MacSween........15 years old an just waitin tae get oot o school. She has big
plans fer her future....nay cleaning like her Maw.....shes going tae work in
the shoe shop. Her favourite things tae dae are shopping, make up an boys. Jason
MacSween.........17 year old Jason wonders where he came fae as he disnae think
hes like the rest o the MacSweens.......he is still at school and plans tae be
a doctor......his family awe think hes loast his marbles. The
Bancrofts (Number 5) Julie
Bancroft.......Next door neighbour o the MacSweens, she canny stand them. She
works full time as a Secretary fer the Council an likes tae read House and
Garden an watches only BBC2 oan the telly. Jimmy
Bancroft....A bit o a henpecked man....he works fer the electricity board, an
loves his job....well, it gets him oot o the hoose anyway! Tiffany
Bancroft......14 years old and still at school....she fancies Jason next door
but the eejit canny see it fer havin his nose in they books awe the time...but
shes workin oan him. The Pals
(Number 7) Rab
McMurty.........Rab is a chancer! Loves the wummen an likes tae think he is a
ladies man......but he never got merried, naebody wid huv him! Tinman
Smith......Tinman rents the hoose wi Rab.....he is a lot quieter than Rab......likes his beer an curries........likes the wummen tae but isnae big
heided like Rab! The
Grahams (Number 9) Deirdrie
Graham.........22 year old Deirdrie has 3 weans......she lives oan her ane wi
them as her man got lost wan day when he went tae the chippy. Shes a good
lookin wee lassie an likes tae flirt a bit wi her neighbours. Aaron
Graham.......6 year old Aaron is a holy terror.....he loves tae play fitbaw in the
street but he isnae very good at it....the baw always ends up in wan o his
neighbours gardens...they awe cheer when school goes back. Claire and
Louise Graham.......6 month old twins.....they didnae get up tae much as they
canny walk or talk yet....but they like tae scream a lot...usually when they ur
in their pram ootside.....the neighbours love this family! Tyson
Graham.......the femily dug....a 2 year old heinz 57.....loves the weans but
likes tae bark a lot! The Adams
(Number 11) Betty
Adams........sometimes known as Granny Adams....other times known as Nosy
Adams.....67 years old and widowed.....she gets lonely sometimes so likes tae
keep her eye (and nose) tae the windays tae see wit everywan is up tae.......If
ye want tae know wits goin oan in this street just ask Granny. Brendan
Adams......Grannys grandson......cannae afford a hoose so he lives wi his
Granny.......says he wull move oot when he grows up......well he is only 53!! The Pub
(Number 13) The pub at
the end o the street is called Filthy McNastys and is owned an run by Sandy!...naybody knows his second name as he never telt
anywan! Likes his
fitbaw an darts! Well thats awe the cast fur noo.....well this is a low budget soap so we couldnae afford a lot!! Please
note: Any similarity oh these characters tae anywan alive or no anywhere
in the world is pure coincidence....we didnae know anywan like these peeple
personally an if we did we wud make sure we kept tae the other side oh the road! Ye awe
probably noticed that awe the hooses ur oan wan side o the street. Thats
because wan o these fancy developers came an took ower the other side so theres
