Hello to whoever you are, and welcome to my place on the World Wide Web. I am Clayboy a Clay Aiken fan, DUH!. For those of you visiting from my link on the Official Clay Aiken website's forum welcome to the party. I am glad to have you here. If got here by some other means (word of mouth like a friend named Esa - you know who you are, search engine etc, links from other sites), well alright you are welcome too. I hope you will stay awhile, have some coffee, some cookies or whatever. Make yourself at home and hang out.
Originally when I created this website I was in totally gone for Clay Aiken, so much to the point it was a bit disorienting. You may notice this disorientation if you read my original account of the concert with Clay and Kelly Clarkson also now in the basement. I was reeling from the sudden onset of Clay Aiken-itis which seemed to set in just in time to persuade me go to the show - I bought my ticket on the day of the show. My original account was written right after the concert but not before getting a bit intoxicated after the show and so it seems a bit jumbled. Anyway I have rewritten my account based on reviewing "cellcert" accounts and video footage of the Denver concert, thus getting an order in which the songs were played. I was able to recall how excited I was even all my varying feelings as I reviewed the videos, it just came back to me, so now I have a clearer account of what I call The Beautiful Disaster. Read 'em both to see the difference.
My little Clay Aiken crush has since morphed into a plain admiration for him. Yes he is still a great looking guy and I still joke to those who know me "Oooooh yes, my boyfriend is playing!" but basically, he is more like a role model. You can read about how my crush on Clay has changed on the My Crush On Clay Aiken page which has been updated while the original one is now in the basement. Read 'em both.
OK while somethings have changed others have not. I still have the Karaoke Madness page (even some new pictures added); The Most Beautiful Boy On Earth, PERIOD is still here as is my open letter to Clay's mother, an essay about my crush on Clay and how I think of Clay as Too Precious To Even Think About In A Sexual Way which sums up how I felt about Clay after seeing him in concert. You are invited to take a mini-tour of Denver, my place of residence. Come see some parts the tour guide won't take you to see as well as the Gay Pride festival of 2004.
Speaking of Gay Pride be sure to venture to the secret room where I recount the history of Gay Pride and how it's really not an issue equal rights for gays, but more like recognition that gays are human beings too and deserve to be treated as such. Any contention that they are sinners does not stack up against their right to be treated as human. We are all sinners, got it? We are all on the same sinkin' ship and need to get in the life boats.
Further, I ponder the idea about what being gay is about. Not like some Know-It-All, just as a person who wonders why he turned out to have gay feelings. Believe me, I did not wake up one day and say "I think I will be gay". Now while, I don't believe that I was meant to be gay, I also cannot say that some of the elements that contribute to my being gay are there by my decision any more than my sudden crush on Clay Aiken which literally seemed to come out of nowhehe. If simply liking his music and finding him sexually attractive caused my crush then I should have had tons of crushes by now. Perhaps my "gay feelings" do not mean that I am necessarily gay unless I act on them. Afterall being tempted by something is not actually doing it. Being tempted does not make you a sinner.
Anyway, feel free to venture about and welcome to the party. Also, be sure to check back. I try to get new stuff on when I can so do check back.
Have fun.
