| T his was the last of the specific places that I wanted to visit, and the most northerly of the places in which I stayed overnight. I would go further north the following day , to Cape Reinga, but not to stay. I arrived in Paihia on one of the nicer days of my tour of New Zealand, in that it was dry and sunny, and comparatively hot. Having arrived at lunchtime and found "The Mousetrap", (another of the three nicest hostels in which I stayed), and having settled in, I then set about discovering what there was to do for a half day there. |
