| Both of my visits to Greymouth, which is reputedly the largest town on South Island's West Coast, were of necessity brief ones, the first one being one in which I was merely passing through on my journey from Picton to Franz Joseph. But on the second one I had slightly longer, in that I was able to have a quick look round the town and also sit alongside the Grey River for a short while, whilst I ate my packed lunch, having travelled into Greymouth from Christchurch on the Coast to Coast bus route, prior to going back to Greymouth Station to catch the eastbound Trans Alpine train back to Christchurch. |
