Scandinavian Travel Posters

With this project, I was tasked with designing a series of travel posters in an illustrated style of my choosing. My target audience was open to anyone interested in visiting the countries of Finland, Sweden, or Norway. To reach this audience, I used bold and vibrant colors combined with stone textures, geometric shapes, and plentiful negative space. The shapes work together providing a sense of unity, movement, and repetition through each design.

I conceptualized the project on paper and completed the designs in Adobe Illustrator. The final style decision was made in the comp stage, thanks to feedback from fellow classmates and my professor at the time. All attempts were made to avoid any ethical, cultural, and social misinterpretations while realizing my original vision for the designs. The posters were selected for my portfolio as they display my ability to create a dynamic and engaging composition, while appropriating a particular style.
