For this project, I was tasked with designing a brochure about some aspect of the University of North Florida. I decided to focus on the campus nature trails, as they are a unique feature to the university. My target audience was anyone that enjoys nature and hiking, so I designed the brochure to be compact and convenient for small pockets. In addition to that, the five-panel accordion fold layout allows for all of the trails to be visible on one side. The design combines the principles of unity and repetition, along with typographic contrast for ease of readability.
In addition to using my own photography, the project was completed using a combination of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Following the first round of critiques at the time, I made some subtle sizing changes to the typography on the cover to add contrast. All ethical, cultural, and social interpretations have been considered, and no compromises were necessary to achieve the final suggestive vision for the poster. From photography, illustration, and layout, I selected this piece since it displays my versatility as a designer.
