Party Time - New Years Eve - 1998

The New Years Eve Party was in the Grand Ballroom at the Doubletree Inn at Sea-Tac, across from the airport. The entertainment for the evening were the performers Merrilee Rush, who made the song "Angel of the Morning" famous, and the Kingsman who sang their famous song "Louie Louie".

Merrilee Rush
I named my second daughter after this friend. Better hurry Merrilee, it is almost showtime.

Merrilee Rush & Chief Satiacum. I have personally known Merrilee Rush for a long time ... just being nice and not saying how long. She used to be a regular performing artist at Tacoma's largest nightclub; until I quit managing the nightclub and the nightclub went out of business.

Merrilee Rush and Danny Holiday on stage. Danny was the number 1 disc jockey for KBSG until he retired a few months after this party. He still is number 1 anyway. As Merrilee says " Dance on Danny". The Kingsman were behind Danny and Merrilee.

Chief Daniel and Danny Holiday at stage left. I put this picture and the radio station logo on a coffee mug for Danny, but he hasn't received it yet.

This picture of Merrilee was taken when she was singing my favorite song, "Angel of the Morning". Merrilee was going to sing at my second wedding but we called off the wedding after an argument.

Another photo to show how big the Grand Ballroom is and you can see all them balloons waiting to get stomped on. I had a lot of fun dancing with a lot of different women but I disappeared before it was time to kiss the ladies.

Merrilee Rush & the Kingsman. This photo was taken from the right side of the stage just before midnight. At midnight, everyone that wanted to be on stage to sing the new year song "Auld Lang Syne" was invited up on stage to sing.
