O'Brien's Cafe - (http://dowling.tcimet.net/): One of the better collaborative serials on the Web. O'Brien's Cafe seems to be nothing just another coffeehouse/bar, where occasionally some odd things happen. But as the authors write: "The truth is that O'Brien's Cafe sits near a boundary between worlds, where many realities meet. . . you might find yourself in a very different world than the one you came in from, involved in intrigue you can't get away from." Clay Dowling and company have just started adding new episodes again after a half-year's hiatus. (26 July 97)
Old Men's War - (http://www.oldmenswar.com/): This serial thriller features an ambitiously large case of Japanese and American characters in a game of murder and intrigue stretching from the underworld through Wall Street and into the White House. The stories are inspired by actual events. (08 Nov 97)
Oyster Boy - (http://sunsite.unc.edu/ob/): A fiction and poetry review published both in print and on the Web. This 'zine has garnered many well-deserved accolades. Shuck open Oyster Boy, and you'll find an outstanding array of literary pearls plus reviews, artwork, and (exclusive to the Web version) some hypermedia pieces. Highly recommended. (27 Mar 97)
