Welcome to my sewing room.
Many things in my sewingroom have been scavenged or bought at the flea market. My sewing desk was being dumped by a company to make room for new and more modern furniture. It was ideal for my purpose, to have my Baby Lock Serger and New Home 8000 together in the same area. The cabinets were obtained on one of my Saturday trips to the flea market for $15. I nailed finishing nails to wood shelving in the old wood medicine cabinet to the right, holds many spools of thread and cost was about $7. What you can't see are the hugh file cabinets that were being dumped and I recycled, holds tons of material and craft items. Last but not least the TV was a must to complete my little corner of the world. I can now watch all the sewing and quilting shows while sewing, well maybe not watch but sure listen and peek now and then. I love it!

This desk was also saved from the dump. It once was my computer desk. Since I bought a new and bigger desk this serves great for a cutting table with a top of formica. With drawers aplenty to hold all the little extras we seem to accumulate over the years. |
