| After leaving Long Ring Long Island, the Straw Hats suddenly encounter a frog swimming in the ocean. They are shocked, but then a train appears out of nowhere on the ocean and knocks the frog away. The train passes a building in the middle of the sea. The Straw Hats go there to check it out. There they meet the station master, Kokoro and her granddaughter, Chimnie. Kokoro tells them that the city they are headed to is the City of Water. It is a city famous for ship mechanics and has the world�s best carpenters. The Straw Hats decide to go there and find a great mechanic for their ship. Kokoro gives them a letter of recommendation to take to Iceberg, who is the mayor of Water Seven. The Straw Hats set sail and arrive at The City of Water, Water Seven. It is a grand and beautiful city. Luffy, Nami and Usopp go to change their gold and find a mechanic to repair Going Merry. Robin and Chopper also go to explore the city. Sanji leaves as well to go shopping. Only Zoro is left to guard the ship. As Zoro is sleeping on the ship, he is suddenly attacked by a group of bounty hunters known as the Frankie Family. Zoro easily defeats them and settles back down to sleep. As Robin and Chopper are shopping, Robin is suddenly contacted by a mysterious person in a mask. When Chopper exits the shop, he finds that Robin is missing. Meanwhile, Nami, Luffy and Usopp manage to change their gold for 300 million beri. They head to the entrance of the shipyard where they meet Kaku, the chief mechanic of Galley La � the carpenters company of Water Seven. Kaku offers to go take a look at Going Merry. As he leaves, Iceberg appears and introduces himself to the Straw Hats.He offers to give them a tour of the shipyards. Suddenly, their money is stolen by some members of the Frankie Family. As the Frankie Family escapes with the money, another carpenter, named Paulie, ambushes them. He manages to retrieve the money but tries to run away with it as well. He is then stopped by another carpenter from Water Seven, Rob Luchi, who is a ventriloquist. They go to see the shipyard, and Iceberg tells them that if any carpenter wants to join them and be a pirate, they are welcome to take him. Just then, Kaku returns and tells them his analysis on the Going Merry. He claims that the Going Merry is unable to be repaired anymore. The keel has been badly damaged and the ship will definitely sink if it has to set sail anymore. Luffy refuses to leave the Going Merry and buy a new ship. A representative from the marines arrives to see Iceberg. Luffy and Nami immediately hides. As they hide, Nami realizes that the money cases are very light. Usopp is also missing. She discovers that the money is all gone. They find out that Usopp had been captured by some members of the Frankie Family. Luffy runs off to find him, and Nami head back to the ship. On the way back, she finds Usopp on a pavement. He is severely injured and crying because the money had been taken away. Back on the ship, Sanji and Chopper hear from Zoro that Going Merry cannot be repaired anymore. Nami returns to the ship and tells them what happened. Meanwhile, Usopp goes back to the Frankie House and demand they return the money. He is badly beaten up by them and Frankie leaves with the money to go shopping. Zoro, Sanji and Chopper go in search of Usopp. On the way, they meet Luffy. They all head to the Frankie House and find Usopp there, barely conscious. Angry, they rampage the house and pulverizes the Frankie Family. After that, Luffy decides that it is best to leave Going Merry and get a new ship. When Usopp gains consciousness, Luffy breaks the news to him. Usopp gets very upset and has a huge quarrel with Luffy. When he refuses to listen to Luffy�s orders, Usopp quits the Straw Hats and challenges Luffy to a duel. If he wins he will take Going Merry. The next day, Usopp appears for the duel. Luffy wins, but gives him the Going Merry anyway. He cries for Usopp�s departure, but Zoro tells him to be strong, for that is what a captain is. They leave the Going Merry, and Usopp, behind. |
