| The Straw hats arrive at the very first island on the Grand Line. This is the town of Whiskey Peak, where they are given a grand welcome. A bit surprised at first, the Straw Hats drink and be merry with the townspeople. Little did they know that the town is actually full of bounty hunters, all of which work for the organization called �Baroque Works�. After the Straw hats have all fallen asleep, the townspeople attempt to kill them. Zoro and Nami however, had only pretended to be drunk. Zoro springs into action and remarkably kills every single bounty hunter. Here also, Miss Wednesday reappears. It turns out that she is actually Vivi Nefertari, the princess of a kingdom known as Alabasta. She had been working in Baroque Works to try and stop the destruction of her kingdom. Miss Valentine and Mr 5 discover this and appear to assasinate her. Vivi�s assistant, Igaram, begs Zoro to save her, but he declines. Nami appears and strikes a deal with Igaram � they will be paid to save the princess. With that, Zoro goes to rescue Vivi under Nami�s orders. Luffy wakes from his slumber and is shocked to find everyone dead. He discovers that Zoro was the culprit for the slaying and goes to find Zoro. Just as Zoro manages to save Vivi, who is trying to escape on Carr, her pet duck, Luffy appears and fights Zoro. They defeat Miss Valentine and Mr 5, and fight each other. Nami appears and stops their foolishness. The Straw Hats agree to take Vivi & Carr aboard their ship to send her back to Alabasta. They set off on their next journey. |
