On April 16 the POB will perform for the first time Cranko's "Onegin", starring Hervé Moreau
in the title role with Isabelle Ciaravola as his Tatiana.

"Zakharova Supergame" by Francesco Ventriglia with music by Emiliano Palmieri will be premiered on April 9, 2009 in the frame of Svetlana Zakharova Gala at the Bolshoi in Moscow.

A couple of premieres graces the top Russian stages.
On the 12th the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow presents Vikharev's reconstruction of Petipa's "Coppélia".
On the 14th the Mariinsky Theatre in St Petersburg presents Ratmansky's new ballet "The Little Humpbacked Horse".

Spain offers a couple of proposals for ballet lovers. On Saturday at the Teatro Juan Bravo in Segovia the POB étoiles Agnès Letestu and José Martinez together with 8 young dancers are presenting a mixed program of classical masterpieces and modern works. On Wednesday at the Teatro Campoamor in Oviedo the Corella Ballet is also presenting a mixed bill.

16 years after Rudolf Nureyev’s death on the 26th of January the French TV shows Sonia Paramo's film "Celestial Attraction" which recreates the key moments of his life.

January 9th, 2009

On the 13th of January at the Théâtre du Casino Grand Cercle d'Aix-les-Bains world premiere of "Constance" by the choreographer Julien Lestel with music by Philip Glass. Based on Lawrence's novel "Lady Cattherley's Lover", the title role will be danced by Alexandra Cardinale.
