Some Mariinsky principals will appear in the American premier of ballet "Onegin", choreographed by Vasily Medvedev, in the festival "Russian Summer in Santa Fe", from September 3-4, 2004 at Santa Fe Opera House. The guest principals include Igor Kolb who is scheduled to dance Lensky.

The first guest artists of the NYCB Spring Season will be Aurélie Dupont and Manuel Legris, both étoiles with the Paris Opéra Ballet, who will dance Balanchine's Sonatine as part of the French Tribute on Tuesday. Ms. Dupont and Mr. Legris will also dance Sonatine on Wednesday and Saturday.

The Royal Danish Ballet performs it for the first time on Friday the 2nd.

La Bayadère is the fourth Petipa ballet to feature in the Royal Ballet of Flanders’ repertoire (after The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty and Swan Lake). The company première is scheduled on February 18, 2004 at Theater 't Eilandje in Antwerp in the choreography by Anna-Marie Holmes after the original version by Petipa.

The extraordinary Hamburg Ballet makes its West Coast debut dancing the American premiere of its riveting ballet, Nijinsky. Under the leadership of its director and chief choreographer John Neumeier, the Hamburg Ballet will perform this acclaimed ballet February 11 through 15 at the Orange County Performing Arts Center.

The Kirov Ballet celebrates this anniversary dancing Jewels, while The Four Temperaments, La Valse and Ballet Imperial will be premiered later on this season.

The Royal Danish Ballet returns to the Kennedy Center in Washington for the first time since 1992, taking "Napoli", "La Sylphide" and "Etudes", from Tuesday to Sunday.
