(-SPECIAL NOTE-) Below is an interesting series of three emails from someone who had just escaped a cult very similar to the Moonies! In fact, it later turned out that it was headed by a Korean messiah that claimed that Moon was an imposter, and that this other Korean messiah was really the true messiah!

I would like to know what the moonies say about heaven or hell? Do they believe that once you "recognize" who Mr. moon is, you can go to heaven, or do you " go somewhere else to continue to learn"? I am asking for a very serious reason, I was involved with a church much like the moonies. I follow all the ways you have mentioned to become controlled. your SITE has been more helpful than you can know. there were always questions in my mind about their doctrine, and you addressed 2 big ones: the FALL and John the Baptist. this church that I was involved with originated in south korea, but it has NO NAME, so it is very difficult to find info. on them. yes, I realize now that this is for a reason. but, they teach that you don't go directly to heaven when you die, you go somewhere to continue to learn until you are PERFECT and able to be seen in the bright light of heaven!!!! I am still confused over a # of things, but slowly God is giving me answers. Thank you for helping with your SITE. if you could, please respond to my e-mail about heaven/hell!!! I am overwhelmed by the e-mail i recieved from you yesterday. you gave me information that i needed for 2 years. not to mention that you saved me from so much grief and possibly my life!!! the part on John the Baptist was so helpful on your site. that is a very confusing and deceptive teaching. i do have another question(i hope you don't mind...) what did they(moonies) teach on the trinity? did they teach that the Holy Spirit was a "mother" and Jesus was the son? i was taught this, but never really believed it. Also, what did they say about "parables". did they teach that they were only one word that meant something throughout the Bible? and that the Miracles of the Bible didn't really happen the way we think. the was "science" behind it and God wouldn't break His own laws? this is all confusing when you hear it from someone trained to "mind control" people. DON'T WORRY, I DON'T BELIEVE THESE THINGS-ANYMORE, I JUST wanted to know if the "moonies" also teach these things? it makes me sick to my stomach about all the false teachings out there...i'm sure you must agree!!!!!

(Editor's Note) This was an interesting development! It appeared that Moon has some competition as the messiah in South Korea! Through several emails, we discovered that this "other" Korean messiah, had been gaining power abroad for his own cult. My critiques of Moon's teachings helped Marlene a great deal, because Moon's teachings were so similar to this other Korean messiah. It turned out that this other Korean messiah, even claimed that Moon was supposed to be "HIS" John the Baptist (a buzz phrase for Moon, meaning someone to prepare the way for the messiah). Amazingly, this other Korean messiah, teaches his disciples that "HE" is the messiah, and that Moon actually learned everything from him, and was supposed to be his John the Baptist, but that Moon sought after money and power rather than fulfill his role as John the Baptist to this "true" Korean messiah! Marlene, later decided that armed with a free mind and my critiques, she wanted to now warn others about this other cult. She revealed that in the next email:

Hello there!!!! The man who leads the cult that I was involved with is from Korea...Soeul! His name is Jung Myung Seok....... He probably has members in Brazil, though!! I want to help make this group known, because I see how much power they have because NO ONE is speaking out about the group!!! I am currently talking to several people to inform them, via email! I am talking daily to a guy in Germany about his exgirlfriend and helping her out, a girl in Singapore that wanted to join and then decided to do reseach about the group...she got my message off a message board, Christian organizations at both Harvard and West Point. Actually, I spoke with the HEAD Priest at West Point!!!! I told him the names of the members there and what they teach!!! He was so grateful that I contacted him! He told me that he is responsible to look after the Spiritual well-being of all the cadets!! I told him that I went to a conference there and saw them evangelizing several innocent men who were far away from home! It made me want to cry! I told him that eventually, parents would want to know what happened!!!!! I want to protect innocent people from this type of deciet! You helped me more than you could ever know!!! I realized that I could help in the same way! I am like a bull that can't be stopped now!!! :-D I have had so many dreams that I have confronted the leader ("christ") and he was afraid of me...he wouldn't look at me in the face! I know that God is with me and protecting me and satan shudders at that kind of assurance!!!!! I am overwhelmed at the idea of creating a web site about this! I just wouldn't even begin to know what to do!!! I have only ever even EMAILED people about this....I have never spoken on the phone or in person to anyone about this!!!! God has truly blessed me! I am reading a wonderful book (I recommend for your wife) called "The Power of a Praying Wife"...it is grrrreat, but I read a part that says that when you go through a trial, it is most important to God HOW you handle it....do you have bitterness and anger to God for it happening or do you PRAISE Him for His protection....it was so good to read, because I have really reached a point of utter THANKFULNESS for my entire cult experience! In fact, I fear where I would be had God not allowed it to happen!!!! I know that we must share this in common!!! :-D

As an ex-member who left in 1986, after having spent 9 years - from 19 to 28 - under sometimes insane conditions, I' ve been following keenly your website for the past few months or so. I haven't fully come to terms with that whole experience, which was in many respects (not in all) an enormous waste of my youth, my energies and my health - reading excerpts of Nansooks book as well as some of your experiences with the main man himself stirred up long withheld anger about having my idealism exploited and betrayed. Maybe one of these days I'll mail you some of my memories from that time. Somebody should collect those testimonies, many of them no doubt sad and heartbreaking, for a number of reasons, not the least of them to be a warning for others and to prove to people inside and outside the church the enormous destructive effects church life had on many members' life.

Craig, I have to stop here, but I'll stay in touch occasionally. The testimonies of Gordon, Bill and Danny moved me deeply, maybe you can mention to them, that their stories are helping others to take one more good look at a period of their life they may not have had the opportunity to heal, yet.

a. Is the Divine Principle of the Moonies, aside from the fact that it contains their beliefs and practices, somehow a kind of reresentation of their concept of God ? Is the Divine Principle, God ? What kind of God is their god? What are its characteristics making it distinct from the other religious movement >

b. What is the nature and destiny of man ? Do they believe in reincarnation and resurrection ? What is man's final destiny ? Why does evil exists and How ?

c. How does the Divine Principle become incarnate in the word, in the people ? What are their forms of worship ? Is their God and this Divine Principle a spirit, a power, a harmony or what ?

d. What makes the movement so appealing ? How do they view the future of mankind ?

e. Do they believe in the Bible ? Do they believe in the final Judgment?

I do hope you could help me because I'm really running out of time. My professor is pressing me on this topic.

Im a x-member or a post moonie of the UC and I would be interested to hear about the Han Corp. That bought and sold the Texas farm. What kind of business has Han Corp. and where in the world is this Han Corp. ? I have never hear anything about this Han Corp. I would also want to know if you would have hear anything about the Nobel price that the top leaders were trying to buy for Moon. They spent lots of money and invitations to Nobel price Committee during the time between 1979-1988. I have also hear that top leaders send lots of books about Moon to the members of the Committee.

I don�t know I you have heard about the 12 sons that Moon had to have, not just 12 children but 12 sons. I thing that booth of us agree that there is something wrong with Moons hormones.

These ideas that Moon brings up: "Because when it comes to degree of love between husband and wife, usually there is more passion and greater degree of love with the concubines. That is why they produce stronger lineage"(-1/1/1996 midnight )

And also: " In the Last Days, children from second wives, or concubine lineage, will become leaders of the world"(1/2/1997) I don't think that Sammy Pak will become a world leader ,but maybe some of the UC members think that they must have a concubine, so that they can have world leader in there lineage. Since Moon says "Restoration occurs not though original wife but rather through the children of second wife."(12/22/1997)

I don't know if you have hear anything about the Jung -Ju peace park that member gave a big donation to, but I have asked many members and ex- members and they haven't hear anything about the Peace park. I have many questions about the 36 couple's, IRFF, Texas Farm and the Ocean providence. I will send you all these questions later when I have a free time to work.
