Summary of Matthew's Gospel: The Crucifiction

Jesus's Passion started at the end of the Passover celebration, or the Last Supper. When Jesus broke the bread and gave God thanks and praise. Then, Jesus was arrested when he went to pray at the Garden. Judas handed over Jesus to the Sanhedrin, when they took him to Pontious Pilate. Then he was condemned to die by the people, who Pontius asked. Next, Jesus was whipped at the Pillar, and it was then when he was crowned with the crown of thorns. Jesus had to carry his cross, or at least part of his cross to Golgatha, where he would be nailed to it, and then die on it. Meanwhile, all of the soldiers, and most of the crowd mocked Jesus throughout the whole event. Jesus was then buried in a tomb that was given to him by Joseph of Arimethea, where he layed until the he was resurrected.
