Summary of Matthew's Gospel: The Transfiguration

Jesus took James, John, and Peter up to the top of the mountain one day. When they reached the top of the mountain, Jesus was transformed, by turning a bright white, and the figures of Moses and Elijah appeared next to him. Peter then offered to pitch 3 tents: one for Moses, one for Jesus, and one ofr Elijah. However, right after Peter said that, a voice from Heaven came, and the clouds opened up. The voice said, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him." The disciples fell on the ground in fear, but Jesus reassured them, and when they raised their heads, no one was there, except for Jesus.
