Request: Gil-galad/Legolas or your favorite First Age elf/Legolas(surprise me); I want a love story that is full of mishaps and adversities to the extent that it seems hopeless for them to be able to find/be with each other again, and it feels almost like a surreal miracle when they finally do. If you happen to choose Ereinion, please make him son of Fingon instead of Orodreth, because I prefer it that way. Happy ending is a must. Request: The request was lengthy, so the following is my summary/interpretation using the exact wording of the original where possible. A story with one of the characters of Gondolin, *before* Gondolin but not necessarily set in Nevrast/Vinyamar. Other details to include: An excerpt of a poem, a fresh autumn morning with beautiful, bright colours. A plot would be nice, a simple set of interlinked actions that in the end makes sense and is not overly dramatic. Summary: A tale of belatedly requited love, with a dose of politics, set in the period immediately preceding the foundation of the city of Gondolin. Written for Talullah Red
