i am Sister Somayah writing you to ask that you review my request to encourage the local law enforcement and the local officials of the City and County of Los Angeles to set a public policy down to protect and defend the right of citizens compliant with the California's COMPASSIONATE USE ACT 1996.

I am pleading that you support our WALK AWAY COMPASSIONATE USE MORATORIUM in Los Angeles, and throughout the State of California to STOP THE ARREST, STOP THE SEIZURES OF OUR LIFE ESSENTIAL (medical marijuana) and other personal PROPERTY, AND STOP THE PROSECUTIONS campaigns, carried out for the sole purpose to FIND a way to CRIMINALIZE people who were meant to NOT CRIMINALIZE, as mandated in the words of our COMPASSIONATE USE ACT 1996.

Now, I know that you deal with 'federal issues'. The American Disabilities Act (ADA) requires all law enforcement to take caution to learn how to deal with people with physical and mental disabilities.

MEDICAL MARIJUANA patients are also to be included in the AMERICAN DISABILITIES ACT, aren't we? Are we not disabled citizens who need to be protected from the sanctions of getting arrested, detained, or our life essential property seized, in violation of the COMPASSIONATE USE ACT, and the ADA for DEPRIVING us of our life essential medicine, housing us in unsafe jails, costing the tax payers exorbitant costs further depleting our deficit budget?

The playing of words about 'immunity' or 'absolute immunity' or 'complete immunity' does not apply OUTSIDE THE LEGAL REALMS of criminal violations.

However, because possession, cultivation, usage, obtaining, and otherwise consuming Cannabis or any controlled substance for personal/private medical purposes, IS NOT DEFINED NOR QUOTED ANYWHERE IN ANY LAW...federal or otherwise....as a crime.

THE AFFIRMATIVE DEFENSE for the ULTIMATE USER still stands as a Constitutional Right.

I am a 'self help' practioner and researcher of FOLK REMEDIES for Sickle Cell Disease.

Though SICKLE CELL DISEASE is a genetic anomaly, the complications are VIOLENT EPISODES OF PAIN, organ damage, debilitating and life threatening complications, as well as sudden death.

I contend that the NIGRITIAN KIEF strain of Cannabis I propagate for my personal/private medicine IS SHARED with those 'exempt' with Sickle Cell Disease, whom i am their designated Caregiver, in compliance with our State law.

Furthermore, because Sickle Cell Disease IS GENETIC, an entire POPULATION OF PEOPLE is affected by being denied to know that CANNABIS can save their lives and enhance their lives.

I am pleading with you Senator, that you employ every device you possibly can use within your scope of duty, to support our WALK AWAY COMPASSIONATE USE MORATORIUM in LOS ANGELES and throughout CALIFORNIA and ultimately throughout the Nation, to STOP THE HATER RAIDS, stop the ADA violations being committed by local law enforcement, prosecutors, jailers, and city and county government officials, particularly in Los Angeles.

Last but not least, I must point out that the 5th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution dictates that a private citizen is to receive JUST COMPENSATION for their property that was illegally seized and used for public use.

The seizure of medicinal plants grown by patients/caregivers exempt from sanctions and prosecution by law, are injured by the seizure of their property, held in public storage for pubic 'exhibit', and pubic adjudication.

Thus I and all of us who have been wronged by the illegal seizure of our property and returned to us destroyed are entitled to JUST COMPENSATION....

Thus the WALK AWAY COMPASSIONATE USE MORATORIUM on arrest and seizure of our medical marijuana and related property must be left in peace.
