Me and my mom went to the post office and we got a PO Box. The address is on the '
Gift'  page. Starting to get some hits, but we still have a long way to go. We had to take $25 off of our money so that we could get the PO Box. There is also an 'others' page with links to other sites needing help. We received first gift today! Thanks!

Happy Independance Day everyone! :-) Yesterday I got a letter in the mail saying I have received a nomination for the National Honor Roll. I want to get the year book, but it costs $50 so I can't get it. Next year maybe. My mom's birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks and I want to buy her something special .Think I'll draw her a dolphin, instead. We have been getting positive feedback from most people who have seen this site. It makes me really have hope for reaching our goal.

Yesterday, for some reason, Logan was in a giggle mode. Couldn't get him to go to sleep for beans. The last couple of days have been the same way. I think eating only Ramen for the last couple of days had made him bouncy. Today we get to go shopping with what the state gives us, but it never lasts very long. Mom says the bills are all in and everyone is asking for more money than we have. At least the apartment's pool is free, it comes with the rent.

             On the
Others page I put some comments other people have said about our site. I am glad and surprised with what people have said about the job I have done here. But on the other hand, Logan was really, really active today. He broke two things! The trampoline that he loves (its only 1 1/2 months old!) to use broke because the seams to three straps gave out, and the bathroom mirror! (Don't worry, he didn't get hurt). It was loose anyway, but still. . . It is hard to keep up with him sometimes. Tomorrow, I hope, will be better.

I added the Code Amber Ticker. I think any way to save a kid has got to be a good thing. One more thing... if anyone has a
FLUTE they don't use anymore, please consider sending it to our PO Box. My 10 year old sister Allie wants to learn how to play, but we can't afford to buy her one, and the school doesn't have one to loan her. My mom has been trying to figure out how to get her one by the end of August when school starts up again, so maybe this might help. I hope so! Anyways, Logan hasn't broken anything in 2 days... we are on a roll! He has been up since 4am this morning... and he is still as bouncy as ever. Mom says she hopes for an early night tonight.

Another day with Logan bouncing, dumping sugar, and other stuff.  I hope we get more people to see this that want to help! It has been too hot out here to do much of anything besides staying inside. Logan wouldn't stop climbing up on the back of the TV today... we played with a big ball trying to get him to catch it. He won't throw it back though! He never wants to play for long, so we ended up watching tv with him again, while he bounced on the couch and ran back and forth around the living room. He doesn't stay in one place for very long unless he is asleep, but thats ok.
July 13, 2003
I picked up an application for a job at the local grocery store today. My friend was there and he said they needed a couple more people for baggers, so maybe I can do that. I am going to mail in my NHR letter tomorrow, even though I can't get the yearbook. That's ok, there's always next year! Logan was a lot calmer today, he was asleep by 8:30 tonight. That's a big difference from the last few days.
July 15, 2003
Last night was kind of strange. We were given a fold-out couch about a month ago, and my mom was laying on it with Logan, but he was too hyper. He bounced right in the middle, and the middle bar gave way. My mom and Logan were folded with the bed! My mom already has a bad back and that didn't help. Logan was not hurt, and we can't use the bed anymore. Today the  doctors said that the muscle in my mom's back has a major strain, so she can't move around a lot for the next week or so. My mom's birthday is a week away and I still haven't figured what to give her yet. I just can't seem to get the drawing right. The dolphin is way out of whack, but I'm trying. If you have any ideas
e-mail me.  .  .  I only have a couple of bucks to work with.
July 19, 2003
Logan didn't break anything today, thankfully. He has been bouncing on the table, on the fridge, on the TV, on the computer desk . . . we really need to get him an UNBROKEN trampoline! My mom made a
dreams page. Mom's birthday is on Tuesday and I still haven't figured out what to give her. Still haven't heard anything about the application from the store yet. Ever since the sofa's bed broke, me and my brother Josh have had to sleep on the floor. Hopefully we can get a bed soon. It's been too hot to do anything lately, even going to the pool. I'll be glad when winter comes.
July 18, 2003
Logan broke 4 things today. Two gel candles, a M&M coffee cup (all of which before 9 am), and a dinner chair at about 12 noon. Isn't it funny how when you need a jump for your car suddenly everyone doesn't have the time or a compatible battery?  My mom and I were going to go to the store but we discovered that the battery was dead. Nobody wanted to help. Eventually a nice lady with a truck helped us. . . two hours later. We checked the mailbox . . . still nothing . . .but its ok. Anyway Logan finally went to bed at about 11:15 tonight. Mom says today was like a "Murphy's Law" day. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
July 20, 2003
My dad had to call 911 tonight... will talk more about this tomorrow.
July 21, 2003
Logan broke the toilet yesterday. About the 911 thing - Last night some lady ran into the wall where my dad stands to get to work. He had to jump out of the way so he wouldn't get hit by her. He had to wait for the cops, so he missed his ride to work. Then my dad and mom found out the car wouldn't start again! Today, Logan hit Josh in the head with a monkeywrench while he (Logan) was having a temper tantrum. Plus, I don't think that he stayed on the ground for more than 2 minutes the whole day. Ever since the trampoline broke, he just keeps bouncing on everything. Logan's doctors changed his prescriptions, now they want him to take less of his "calmdown medicine" (Great, now no one is ever going to sleep!). Tomorrow is my mom's birthday and I still haven't gotten her anything. I don't think I can. Too bad my application hasn't been called up on yet.
Light a Candle for Logan!
July 23, 2003
Yesterday was my mom's birthday as you all know (if you have read the other entries) and instead of giving her a birthday present, me and my sister Allie made her a green and blue cake. My mom also got a blue gel candle w/ mini starfish and shells. I took a look at my email today and found out that
Karyn emailed me saying that later today she will put a link on her site to mine. I am so excited!! If you can't give a gift to Logan, then you can light a virtual candle for him! Just click any of the Autism ribbons to light it.
July 26, 2003
Yay! Logan was gifted with another dollar! The famous
SaveKaryn hasn't updated her site page yet with us "other broke folks", but as soon as she does, I will let everyone know. My mom was able finally to get one of Logan's medicines, and now he has been a lot calmer. The only things broken were a glass, and a light shade in the hallway, both by Josh! The one bad thing was we found out the Alternator is going bad in the car. That's why we've needed to get the car jumped a lot lately! The place my mom takes the car to said it would be 2 or 3 hundred to fix it. That's a lot of money...
July 29, 2003
I just wanted to shout out to everyone that as of today, Logan has made
Karyn's list! Logan finally went to sleep last night after almost 2 days of staying awake and bouncy. My mom had to stay up all night with Logan while my dad was at work and the rest of us kids got sleep. . . still nothing in our PO box yet. . . and the car is still acting up on us. My mom got an email from grandpa, he said that he liked this site. Logan hasn't broken anything lately. Emails are starting to pick up, which is always good.
Please tell a friend about Logan, and about his candle...

Woohoo . . .We got another donation yesterday, and I got a letter in the mail saying that I have been nominated for "Who's Who in American High Schools." Again, they have a yearbook that will publish my biography, but we can't afford it ($55.99). We checked the PO box today and there was only a brochure for a local college. Nice to see something in there for a change (LOL). Logan was quite calm yesterday, most of what he did was sit on the couch. Logan is trying to bounce and climb as much as possible today (probably making up for yesterday). Make sure to check all the pages, because I update often.
