This is a picture taken professionally during Halloween '01. At the far left, my sister Allie is dressed as a princess fairy, and believe me, it fits her personality. The far right is my younger brother Joshua, and again it fits. The center two are me and Logan. We have to be together because he runs away, so me and my mom devised a costume for the both of us. He is the cop, and I am the robber. We won 2nd place in a Halloween costume contest that year. It looked strange because I had him on my shoulders and he was hitting my head in front of the judges. While he was in costume he kept trying to eat his microphone, and trying break loose of the handcuffs, while I was trying to keep them on.
My dad works night-shift, so he's asleep most of the day, and my mom stays home with Logan because doctors say he needs "one on one supervision". We all try to do stuff as a family, but it's hard because Logan doesn't like crowds. My mom bought him a small exercise trampoline so that he would stop bouncing on the couch, but he still does because the couch is bigger.
Logan loves to swim, so we all go to the apartment's pool when its open. He is a natural born swimmer. He swims in the deep end, so it's a good thing that it's only 5ft. deep!
Allie is really into Harry Potter, and she reads J. K. Rowling's books over and over again. She said that she wished she could go to Hogwarts to learn the skill of potion making, so that Logan won't be autisic anymore.
Joshua is really into video games and building things. He said he want to make a play area for Logan so that he can play with him, and not have to worry about Logan hurting himself, or running out the door every chance he gets. Maybe if he thinks its more fun at home, he won't be so curious about what's outside our door. It's very hard to keep him occupied... what we do to entertain him is watch Disney movies until I've memorized the lines to each movie.
I am really into building web sites, and I figured that if I could help my mom and dad with Logan by doing this, maybe he can have better commmunication at least. And if he does, maybe we can treat him to Disneyland to celebrate. Without the help of people like you, we won't be able to get the things he needs to communicate normally.
