This conversation that takes place during a meeting is proof that I've truly been accepted into my work environment.

Coworker1 - Toronto has a really bad smog problem.
Coworker2 - Hey, Em's from Toronto!
Several ppl at once - Hahah! You're from Toronto? Oh really?
More chatter - Tsk, tsk. The smog is terrible there.
Coworker3 (to me) - Oooh, so THAT'S what stunted your growth!
Everyone then laughs at my expense.

I prefer to think that i'm not short, just vertically challenged. Good thing I can take it as well as i can dish it! 8) I go now to plot my sweet, sweet revenge... hehehehe...

Went to the "Zoo" (a glorified bar) on friday nite for a friend's birthday. I'd say i got about 2 packs worth of second hand smoke in 4 hours. Played some pool, i really need to practice more. Then watched some insect-human hybrid play pool, he had really fascinating big bulgy bug eyes... Oh yeah, and the downside of living in a small town is that you are bound to see friends or uh, people who aren't friends wherever you go... Shields up!

Guess what?! The temperature here is up into the SINGLE DIGITS! Highs of -4 degrees...wow. Almost tank top weather again, well, maybe not quite. But at least i don't have to wear a turtleneck and two pairs of pants while the temperature is this high. hehe.

Let's see... Had pancakes, eggs and sausages for a 'romantic' Valentine's Day dinner. Yummy. Who needs a dozen roses and a box of chocolates when you can get greasy yet oh so tasty meal for far less money? Ok, so maybe that's just me. =D
Also saw Daredevi| on Saturday. I swear I've seen more movies in theatres in my 9 months living in Thunder Bay than I have in the last 5 years living in Toronto...

Saw $hanghai Knights this weekend. And all i have to say is that at least i didn't have to pay for my ticket. heheheh. Ok, so it wasn't THAT bad, but still. 8)

Happy Chinese New Year! So went to Tbay's Chinese New Year Banquet yesterday and had a great time. Well i had a good time when i wasn't freaking out about singing in front of hundreds of people. Didn't have too much time to be nervous while i was helping to sell liquor tickets. And after the performance, I was so hopped up on adrenaline that i decided to try out ballroom dancing. How'd that turn out? Well let's just say I shouldn't quit my co-op job to become a dancer. Oh and if you ladies ever wanna start learning how to ballroom dance, I recommend investing in some steel-toed boots before getting on the dance floor. You're going to need them. 8)
