November 10, 2006 - The legal definition of aggression, as per UN resolution 3314 (XXIX) (1974) is added to both the sections on international law and UN resolutions.

October 26, 2006 - The Declaration on the Granting of Independence to Colonial Countries and Peoples is installed in both the UN Resolutions and the International Law sections.

July 31, 2006 - Additions to the website of info on (1) the Nationality & Entry into Israel Law (2003) violating family unity, (2) the Israeli Supreme Court ruling of Qaadan v. Katzir (2000) against discrimination in land leasing, and (3) demographic info for the region.

July 7, 2006 - Upgrade to Israel Law Study Guide is installed - adding in proposed responses from International Human Rights Law to Israeli forms of discrimination and oppression. The chart of Israeli violations are re-organized chronologically.

June 29, 2006 - Upgrade to the International Law Study Guide is installed, including a new section on the application and enforcement of International Human Rights Law as indicated in the laws themselves.

June 23, 2006 - Following up on feedback from a visitor, sections on 'Israel Lands' management and leasing have been improved, mostly in the sections on Israeli Law and International Law.

May 29, 2006 - Upgrades to the International Law Study Guide are installed, including new sections on Israeli refusal of Palestinian "right of return" and Israeli destruction of Palestinian holy places.

May 18, 2006 - Public Education Flyer on UN Resolutions violated by Israel is installed on website.

May 5, 2006 - Stage 1 of the Study Guide for UN Resolutions has been installed. This includes a list of the summaries of all Security Council resolutions from 1948 to the present.

March 26, 2006 - The article on the internal Israeli system of discrimination is upgraded, and now a comparison with international law on Apartheid is included, showing Israel is technically an Apartheid State.

January 17, 2006 - The International Law Study Guide is upgraded.

January 5, 2006 - Many of the Public Education flyers are improved, and two are added, including one that contains a rebuttal to the accusation of anti-Semitism against those who criticize Israeli government policy.

December 14, 2005 - Three documents of International Law are added to the website (Vienna Conventions, which introduce Jus Cogens - "higher law" (of human rights) by which all other international laws are judged, and the 2001 Declaration of the World Conference against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance).

December 3, 2005 - A new UN Document of International Law is added to the website - The International Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide (12 December 1951).

October 29, 2005 - A new UN Document of International Law is added to the website - The International Covenant on the Suppression and Punishment of the Crime of Apartheid (18 July 1976).

October 21, 2005 - The ILRC Website Map is upgraded.

October 16, 2005 - The U.N. Resolutions section of the website is turned into a United Nations-in-general section, and all UN documents including those pertaining to the ICJ Advisory Opinion on the wall are moved there.

October 9, 2005 - 5 new information flyers are added to the Public Education section of the website. These flyers cover discrimination within Israel, compromises of Israeli democracy, description of Israeli oppression and exploitation in the occupied territories, history of Zionist/Israeli ethnic cleansing, and Israeli violations of International Law. The Public Education essay is also rewritten.

September 19, 2005 - A second disclaimer is added to the website - to counter accusations that critics of Israel are anti-Semitic.

September 1, 2005 - Legal reasoning on how the Israeli occupation is illegal is added to the Study Guide on International Law. It is in the section on Israeli violations of International Law.

August 30, 2005 - New Study Guides are added to the Website, and all the Study Guides are integrated so they refer to each other. The new Study Guides cover the topics of International Law and the Advisory Opinion of the ICJ on Israel's barrier wall in the West Bank. The Study Guide on Israeli Military Orders is split off from the Israeli Law Study Guide to form its own Guide.

August 30, 2005 - 8 Databases are added to the Website covering the major topic areas - Israeli laws, military orders, UN resolutions, etc. These are improved versions over the previous ones. The Website is completely restructured to fit in the new features - the 8 databases and integrated Study Guides.

June 11, 2005 - Full text of eight more International Laws and related documents are added to the website.

May 29, 2005 - Full text of four International Laws pertinent to Israel's occupation of adjacent Palestinian lands are added to the website. Sortable database and essays soon to follow.

April 11, 2005 - Upgrades to the Study Guide and the navigation system on the different webpages are installed.

April 1, 2005 - The 1st Stage of the Central Index of Keywords is installed which soon will be linked to the Website databases for automatic sorting.

December 28, 2004 - The "Talking Points" page has been redone, and renamed "The Study Guide", and has been redesigned to be an interactive graduated learning tool. A second version is included (on Jan. 4) which is not interactive, and is more suitable for printing or reading altogether.

December 13, 2004 - Coverage is expanded of Defence (Emergency) Regulations of 1945.

November 15, 2004 - Nine more Laws of the State of Israel relevant to issues of civil rights are uploaded to the Website.

November 7, 2004 - Links are added to the myriad of excellent Civil Rights and Human Rights Organizations based in Israel and the adjacent occupied Palestinian territories.

September 29, 2004 - The ILRC Website has been restructured to focus on Civil Rights in Israel and the adjacent occupied territories. The other areas of the Law listed previously have been listed in a new "Future Projects" section on the Introduction page.

August 24, 2004 - An "Internet Links" section has been added to the website, below the Website Map.

July 29, 2004 - List of amendments to Laws of Israel included in this website is updated to 1989.

July 11, 2004 - Non-Violence International, our fiscal sponsor, has given us use of their 'Network for Good' account so that contributors to ILRC can now make tax-deductible donations with their credit cards. The button for doing this is now installed on the ILRC Membership page.

July 11, 2004 - The full text of the following Israeli Laws has been added to the Website:

June 22, 2004 - Online databases for sorting amongst Israeli laws, court cases and military orders, and United Nations Resolutions concerning Palestine and Israel are now up and running. These databases enable the users to search and sort according to different fields such as keywords or dates.

June 22, 2004 - Membership/Donation page added to website.

June 22, 2004 - New feature enables users to open laws, military orders, essays and articles in separate pages. This enables the user to have open simultaneously many different laws, etc.to facilitate research.

May 19, 2004 - Analysis of the Planning and Building Law (1965) is added to the civil rights article describing how discrimination in Israel works. This is the law that created the "unrecognized villages".

April 11, 2004 - Reference Page updated.

February 28, 2004 - The "Planning and Building Law" (1965) has been installed on the Website. This Law is relevant to Israeli civil rights because the National Planning and Building Board which it creates and empowers is known for creating the "unrecognized" status of numbers of Palestinian villages, which has led to their being zoned out of official existence, thus denying them basic government services such as electricity and sewage system maintenance.

February 28, 2004 - New 2-page handout added to the Website for downloading.

January 21, 2004 - The ILRC Chronicler Newsletter is launched (online version) so that the webpage news can be differentiated from news of real world Center activities.

December 27, 2003 - The list of amendments to the Laws of Israel listed on the website is updated, indicating which Laws will soon have full texts installed on the website.

December 18, 2003 - A Study Guide has been installed on the website. This Guide can be used for planning talks, workshops, flyers, etc. on the legalized discrimination in Israel and the oppression and exploitation of the Palestinian people in Israeli and the Occupied Territories.

December 18, 2003 - Collection of Public Education Materials used in political events to educate the public about the laws of discrimination in Israel and the Occupied Territories (with an explanatory essay) is added to the Website.

November 29, 2003 - Improved summaries of Military Orders are added to the website.

November 27, 2003 - Improved reference notes are added to the articles in the Civil Rights section.

November 22, 2003 - Indices for the United Nations Resolutions has been restructured to include separate pages for an index of resolutions by keyword (1970-9 completed so far), and another page listing resolutions with full text on this website.

November 17, 2003 - Summaries of United Nations General Assembly Resolutions for years 1980-1984 have been uploaded to the Website.

November 16, 2003 - The full DEFENCE (EMERGENCY) REGULATIONS OF 1945 have been installed on the website in .pdf file format.

November 11, 2003 - The Index of Military Orders is restructured, with the list of Military Orders that have full text on the website put in a separate file. An index of the Military Orders sorted by keyword is also added to the website, and all are cross-referenced.

November 11, 2003 - A few more Israeli laws relevant to civil rights in Israel are added to the list, and the essay discussing civil rights in Israel is updated.

October 20, 2003 - Summaries for selected UN General Assembly resolutions from 1970 to 1973 and 1978 to 1979 have been added to the website.

October 13, 2003 - The Table of Contents of the Defence (Emergency) Regulations of 1945 has been installed on the Website.

September 9, 2003 - The Index of UN Resolutions pertaining to Palestine and Israel is reconfigured in preparation for uploading summaries of each resolution.

August 9, 2003 - Over 1000 brief summaries of Military Orders in use in the Occupied Territories has been added to the website.

July 30, 2003 - The brief essay introducing the list of Defence (Emergency) Regulations of 1945, has been refined and improved.

July 27, 2003 - The list of Emergency Regulations has been split up and moved. The Defence (Emergency) Regulations of 1945, which originated with the British Mandate Government has been moved to the folder of Miscellaneous Historic Documents. The list of Emergency Regulations developed by the State of Israel itself has been moved to the folder of laws of the State of Israel. The separate folder of Emergency Regulations has been deleted.

July 27, 2003 - A new list of the laws of the State of Israel has been added to the website which includes amendment history, subject keywords, and lists of other laws and government and non-government agencies and officials that are referred to within the law. This sub-listing of the contents of each law will be available to the visitor to use to sort the laws by once the interactive database is installed in a month or so.

July 22, 2003 - A list of all of the 'entrenched clauses' embedded in the Basic Laws of the State of Israel has been added into the new essay in the Essays & Briefs in Civil Rights Law section titled, "Democracy, Discrimination, and No Constitution". These important clauses give the Basic Laws special status in relation to the other laws passed by the Knesset, but not in a way that they could be used for judicial review by the Supreme Court over the laws passed by the Knesset.

July 22, 2003 - A new essay has been added to the Essays & Briefs in Civil Rights Law section titled, "Democracy, Discrimination, and No Constitution". This essay describes the struggle in Israel to develop a Constitution, a Bill of Rights, and a balance of power between the Judicial and Legislative branches in the Israeli Government, and their impacts on the struggle for civil rights in Israel, and the violent conflict between the Palestinians and Israeli Government.

July - September, 2003 - The technical and editorial staffs of the Israel Law Resource Center have been diligently working on a new version of this website that will include an interactive database that will enable the visitor to sort out laws of particular interest by keywords, title, date, type of law, etc. Please refer to this Website News page for further updates on our progress with this very important project.

May 26, 2003 - Three new sections of essays and briefs are added to the website - "Introduction to the Israeli Legal System", "Case and Constitutional Law", and a section for essays on related issues and miscellaneous documents.

December 1, 2002 - The essay, "Israeli Military Legalized Discrimination in Gaza and the West Bank: How It Works" is improved in terms of the Military Orders and Proclamation whose full text is actually up on this website, and their summaries on the Index of Military Orders is updated as well.

November 25, 2002 - The essay, "History of Legalized Discrimination in Israel" is improved, especially concerning the history of the Zionist Movement, and its role in developing oppressive laws.

November 19, 2002 - Numbers of historical background documents have been added to the website, and linked to the "Miscellaneous Documents" webpage (including the Balfour Declaration, the British Mandate, the UNSCOP Plans, the Camp David Peace Accords, and the Oslo Peace Agreements).

July 15, 2002 - Brief summaries of 14 additional Military Orders added. The Military Orders are differentiated by whether they are issued in Gaza, the Golan Heights, or the West Bank. A section is added for the 1945 Defence (Emergency) Regulations, issued by the British Mandate Authority in 1945, then revoked by them in 1948, and then reinstated almost immediately by the new Israeli Government in 1948, and then almost immediately for use in the Occupied Territories by the Israeli Military Command in 1967.
