Samedi. Guile, an Irish Cainite with connections with the IRA and various other terrorist groups, was once a member of the Sabbat of Maiden Newton, but his loyalties were always in question, a fact which always irritated many of the higher-ranking vampires, especially Tomsk. When the Cainites of the city were excommunicated by Cardinal Drad, Guile therefore did not seem particularly bothered by it. However, someone seems to have a very personal vendetta against Guile; recently his haven was bombed, and shortly afterwards he suffered attempts on his unlife twice at the Keep. For all this, he does not help himself gain a better reputation amongst the Alliance of Maiden Newton; after tracking The Beast - aka the baby Hope - Guile was responsible for destroying the enemy, and therefore bringing about the final portent of the Armageddon Prophecy. The result of this was a desperate effort by the Alliance to destroy Lord Arrakon as the minutes counted down to the end of Humanity and therefore the Cainite race. Guile went into the Deep Umbra as part of this effort, along with Jake Bullet, Zy and a Hunter ally, but again proved more of a liability. destruction of their target, a gigantic spider-like Bane Spirit known as Shelob; however, Guile, packed to the gills with explosives due to his increasing paranoia, detonated them and therefore himself four seconds earlier than the target needed to be destroyed, killing Shelob instantly. Therefore it is still not known if the overall mission was a success or not, although with the survival of Humanity it would seem that it was. Nonetheless, Guile was destroyed in the process, and with the death toll also including the likes of Paige, Jemma, Sir Daniel Fortesque and Rakh, Guile is not likely to be mourned by many. |
