The branch of philosophy that studies the nature of knowledge, its presuppositions and foundations, and its extent and validity, is what interests me most.
So far, I have discovered that this journey is not just about giving up attachments, but to actually create our spiritual/solar bodies. It's very difficult to do in one lifetime, because of the Ego (personified as the Devil in some religions). That's why we must first become aware, so that we can consciously work on eliminating our own inner demons or ego states. The more we do so, the more our consciousness expands. The more consciousness we have, the closer we are to becoming our true selves: totally free spiritual beings. See Awareness
The Transcendentalists and the Shamans of Native Americans have a common belief in the innate Good (God/Great Spirit) in and through nature and mankind. Both teach that there is more to life than working for the all-mighty-dollar to buy material things that don’t last (not to be confused with prosperity). That it is more important to have freedom of expression and time to ponder the mysteries of life, which gives way for desire and inspiration to help us to manifest our own divine potential...the most exciting adventure of all.
"Living and dying are a natural part of our evolution. The fact of our physical death reminds us of the urgency of spiritual awakening, of the significance of love, compassion and creativity in our life, so that we can enter the door to the divine at the moment of death, and even before by realizing our true nature."

The nature of God
"In prayer we need to be deeply conscious that God is the almighty One, the supreme Creator the ruler of the universe, that He is infinite and eternal; we need to know that God is the underlying, unchangeable Truth, "with whom can be no variation, neither shadow that is cast by turning."
God as principle is the absolute good expressed in all creation. When we know God and "worship him in spirit and truth" we recognize Him as this great goodness, which is omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent, ready and willing to guide, to bless, and to uplift.
To walk with almighty God is to walk with Truth and to affirm the power of Spirit within mind and body as the dominating mind force; it is to walk in the light and thus to apply in our daily living the wisdom that is from above, acknowledging the Father as the source of all our knowing, as the mainspring of all our actions.
This leads us to the truth that our knowing God brings peace, the serene abiding that never wearies, never questions, never strains for results. He created and controls the whole universe. In God "we live, and move, and have our being." " --Keep A True Lent, by Charles Fillmores
I am a Truth student...
I believe Spirit guides us to the path we need for our spiritual growth according to our understanding at that time. It continues throughout our lifetime. One leads to another and so on until we truly know our inner selves and our personal Truth, Saviour, or Christ within. And, He will guide us in the way that we should go.
The path you choose is not important. Only by awakening Consciousness, will we find our true path, the one that leads to final liberation.
The Christ is within each of us whether we believe in Jesus the Christ or not. "Jehovah of the Old Testament is the I AM, or Christ of God invisible; the Messiah is the promise of the visible manifestation of that I AM or Christ.
Christ is the only begotten Son of God, or the one complete idea of perfect man in Divine Mind....This Christ, or perfect-man idea existing eternally in Divine Mind (God), is the true, spiritual, higher self of every individual.
By continually unifying ourselves with the Highest by our thoughts and words, we too shall become sons of God, manifest." ---Ref.: Meta. Bible Dictionary, pg. 150, Unity School of Christianity.(1)
Jesus of Nazareth knew this. He recognized his divine sonship; and, He affirmed His true self and the Father acknowledged Him. The reason ordinary wo/man has limited understanding of this is because we see the world around us as under material law and in agreeing with it, make ourselves part of it.
Then, the sense consciousness, egos, or Satan seemingly has control over us. "Satan, the deceiving phase of mind in man that has fixed ideas in opposition to Truth (adversary, liar in wait, accuser, apposer, hater, an enemy) assumes various forms in man's consciousness...summed up, it is the state of mind in man that believes in its own sufficiency independent of its creative Source." This is the ego or ego states I talk about in The Unseen Enemy and Vanquishing the Enemy. We can overcome it, by denying it out of consciousness and affirming our oneness with God (good).
Under few of the many Paths, Wiccan is mentioned. We can learn something from that, too. Take their method of involving all the senses into our daily prayers. By doing so, we deeply imbed within our subconscious as well as conscious minds our desire for more God/Spirit in our lives and bring it to manifestation sooner. (See healing prayer kit instructions .)
The reason this works so well is because we are threefold beings (spirit, soul, body) made in the image and likeness of God; Father, Son, Holy Spirit; thinker, thought, action or expression; superconscious, subconscious, conscious mind. Jesus used this parable to explain it: "The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till it was all leavened" (Matt. 13:33). Thus showing us how Truth takes time to penetrate our threefold beings. By incorporating as many of our senses (sight, smell, hearing, taste, touch) as possible, it hastens the process.
But we must always remember to ask that God's Will be done and what we ask for be for the good of all.
How do we know if what we desire is in harmony with God's Will? Well, if we analyze it with spiritual discernment by taking it into meditation, we can determine if it is guided by fear or love. God is good and God is love...fear has no place in Spirit...it is the basis of everything negative. We then place our Christ Consciousness in charge, and listen to this inner guidance...that 'still, small voice' that is within...in spite of what others say (including our 'other selves' (or egos)), we must follow our hearts (soul) and make our inner Christ our anchor.
Under Hinduism I talk about the power of chanting OM (pronounced Aum). It has a quality and tone to it that resonates with the Universe. The vibration produced by chanting Om in the physical universe corresponds to the original vibration that first arose at the time of creation.
Repeating the name of God, Jehovah, also has power in it. Repeat it at least 12 times to align your own vibrations with Universal Good, before praying or meditating.
There are various tools we can use to help us with our journey. Some are listed on my Tools page. I think we can learn from them all. Astrology, Numerology, Tarot, for instance, are not divining tools as many think of them. They hold keys for unlocking our subconscious minds. This is instrumental in self-discovery, which is imperative in the work of eliminating the pluralized ego in order to awaken more Consciousness.
Angels are messengers of God. When we ask for their help, they are always willing to be there for us, "bringing from above, echoes of prosperity, whispers of love..."
The Spirit of God is in everything, even the rocks and plants. They can help us to magnify our desire for good by blessing them and carrying them or wearing them, even sleeping with them under our pillow. Each one has it's own Godly attributes that we can identify with by having them near us. It increases our awareness of these attributes that we want to bring out in ourselves. For instance, amethyst's qualities are spirituality and contentment, transmutes energy from lower to higher frequencies, balances, clears, stabilizes. Amethyst is mentioned three times in the Bible: Exo 28:19, 39:12, and Rev 21:20. It was used in the building of the temple in Exodus and the gate in Revelations. See more about gems and minerals in Gems.
Herbs and spices like myrrh and frankincense were mentioned several times in the Bible. They were used mostly as perfumes and balms; but, they also are antiseptic and antibiotic. I soak them in oil and use it for minor cuts and scrapes, insect bites and hives. It helps prevent scarring, also.
Reiki means "Universal Life Force." When I feel the presence of God, the universal life force flowing through me, the Holy Spirit, my hands grow very warm. This is God's healing energy flowing through me. I believe it gives us the power to heal ourselves and others. It is something I'm still working on..to accept it, use it, and praise God for it. All the glory goes to Him. "It is not I, but the Father within who doeth the work."
Note to Parents:
Please don't be critical of your children, especially if your child is a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP). It is difficult enough to awaken our true selves without being made fun of by our own families. Siblings and other children can sometimes be cruel. They may say things in jest like, "You're such a big sissy," or call them names like, "Cry baby." But these kinds of statements are not funny to HSP's. It may cause them to withdraw into their own little world, become sleep-walkers, or worse. It may take many years for them to wake up consciously and start to become more aware...and that's what we are all striving for...to experience life to the utmost by living in the moment, free of fear and doubt. There are a couple of things we can do to help our children begin to become aware of their thoughts and give them control over them. First, we can teach them the difference between postive and negative thoughts. Then, give them a simple word to say when a 'not so good thought' pops into their mind; N.U.T.S! (Negative, Unpleasant Thought Stopper!)
"Finally (brothers and sisters) whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."
NAMASTE
(The Divinity in me, salutes the Divinity in you!)
