This is the Reiki symbol, Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen. It means the past, present, and future are one. It is used in distant healing, and for healing the past. It is the symbol I am working with now.

Energy: "Rei" and "Ki" translate into
Transcendental Spirit, Mysterious Power, Essence. It is a "hands-on-healing"
practice, that can be done alone, be incorporated into massage therapy, or
be done from a distance by a Reiki II Initiate. It does more than physically
heal; it balances on all levels, so that the individual experiences gentle
awakenings and awareness about her/himself that open the creative channels,
as well.
