I totally love this show. And the fandom that goes with it. Slash, het, gen, I love it all. But I have to warn you, I'm emphatically not a McKay fan anymore. Which means that the newer recs will most likely not involve him in anyway shape or form. And there very, very little Sheppard/McKay stuff here (unless it's just amazingly cute and/or apart of a threesome). I do, however, totally enjoy Sheppard, and am also a big fan of Ronon. Thus, ikyrian's new OTP was born: John/Ronon! I'm slowly building that page up, but it's kinda hard as there aren't very many people writing it yet. Which makes me sad. *weepz*
I've split up some pairings and put them on their own pages for your viewing pleasure (and because I like to make my life hard). Everything else will just be tossed onto this page willy-nilly until I decide to unclutter everything.
Rodney McKay/Radek Zelenka Recs
Using Occam's Razor to Skin Schrodinger's Cat by Sajinn
Summary: Parsimony is never simplistic, the road to hell is paved with good intentions and survival is a messy affair.
Threesome: Sheppard/Beckett/McKay
Rating: NC-17
ikyrian's notes: After reading this, I kicked around the idea of actually rec-ing. See, Sajinn has this really irritating habit of making her main characters into these super!characters, when a lot of a particular character's appeal is them not being super powered in some way. We are not spared this tendency with this fic. So, why rec it? Mostly it's because I did enjoy the first two stories within the series (Sketch Heuristics and Pejorative Casuality) and some of the elements of the last few. Her build up of the characters, and the way that Sheppard just could not seem to not screw his relationships with Beckett and McKay up. How they were all so human in their reactions, and when the inevitable does happen, how they dealt with it. I'm not saying it's a bad way to write a story occasionally, making some characters into Gary Stus, but since I've read a lot of her Buffy work and CSI, it gets a little predictable after awhile. However, if you haven't read the rest of her work, don't let my own prejudices stop you from enjoying this story. Grab your favorite drink, your favorite snack, and dig in. It's a long read if you go all the way to the end (especially when all the good threesome stuff doesn't happen until after the third story!), so if you don't like to have your story time broken up, make sure you've got a lot of time to read!
