I read a lot of House, M.D. fanfic. It's one of two shows that I try to watch every week, whether it's new or not (the other being Stargate: Atlantis - the pretty!). And it should come to no surprise to anyone who's looked around at other parts of this website that I have a weakness for May-December romances and slash. For this show it's House/Chase. I do have to admit, however, that most House/Chase, and really most Chase fics, are beginning to annoy the crap out of me for one reason: Chase becomes this broken down thing that House beats up on. And let's not talk about the House/Chase/Wilson triangles where Chase is a plaything! It makes me want to weep for him. I'd love to see a story where Chase is just a normal bloke with problems. *sighs*
Despite that, most of the stories on this rec list are Chase-centric, or House/Chase centric. Other pairings will be noted within the entries themselves.
The In-Betweens by AndreaLyn
Summary: Chase is tired of being in the middle of House and Wilson's prank war.
Rating: PG-13
ikyrian's notes: Though the author says that it's "mild House/Wilson/Chase", I think it's more of a gen story, me. And really, the summary explains it all-despite the fact that Chase put himself into the situation. But it's highly amusing, and well worth checking out. Really, all of her stories are.
Six Ways of Looking At Chase by !Super Cat
Summary: None given. Pre-Vogler, I think.
Rating: PG-13
ikyrian's notes: Really, the title says it all, and yet not at the same time. It is six ways of looking at Chase, but the only person looking is House, really. It's a really good exampe of a "House ponders Chase and his myriad of issues" fic. The author does a good job of keeping the reader interested in the story, and uses parentheses to a distinct advantage. The story flows very nicely from one moment to the next, leaving the reader to have to fill in the time between them. Luckily, I have an excellent imagination.
Once Upon a Time by AndreaLyn
Summary: Once upon a time in a land far, far away.
Rating: PG
ikyrian's notes: D'awwwwwwww....isn't that cute? (BUT IT'S WRONG! Name that show!) No, really, this is seriously cute. A fast, fun read, showing not only the deviousness of House, but oddly Wilson as well.
Between a Rock and a Hard Place by Claudia
Summary: Chase has almost come to accept the cycles of unrequited desire and unabashed self-loathing as routine.
Rating: mild R
ikyrian's notes: ...later.
