Harry Potter

I know it's bare enough at the moment to warrant being put into the "Random Fandom" category, but I actually have a shit load of fics that I want to rec, I just haven't gotten to it yet. I will, someday. *sighs*

Ron Weasley/Remus Lupin Recs

Everything Else

Midnight by the Weasley Watch by excessivelyperky
Summary: Ron Weasley makes up his schoolwork, and actually _thinks_ for a change. Snape gets some Christmas presents he doesn't expect. The old game is over, but a new one is just beginning.
Rating: PG-13
ikyrian's notes: There's not much to say other than how much I love this fic. It is in every way how I always think of and picture Ron in my head. The author does a truly fantabulous job in this piece characterizing not only Ron, but Snape as well. Though this is a in many ways a Snape-is-not-truly-evil fic, it actually works here, and excessivelyperky does a good job in making all of the characters believable. And because Ron is the focus of this fic, he takes the center stage and with style! While he doens't gain any super power to make him "cooler" (though I think he's cool enough as he is!), everything that makes him Ron in the books is highlighted here. Very lovey work.

Heartsick by Adrienne
Summary: Ron is the latest target for Voldemort's plan to live forever.
Rating: NC-17
ikyrian's notes: This is the story that got me hooked onto Ron/Snape. The story line is superb, the writing is sublime. You almost believe that this could have happened in the books. On one hand, you've got Ron who is determined to protect Harry and not help Voldemort at any cost, even if it includes play acting as lovers with the professor he despises - Snape. On the other hand is Snape, who desperately does not wish to be doing this, but has to live with two masters. Throw in the fact that he's been celibate for 15 years and Ron is that bad looking, really, and you've got story about love, loss, and all the emotions in between.
