Explanation Of My Rating System

5 Stars: The original Woodstock. A great performance and a cultural icon, sure to be remembered in the future (or deserving of the honor).

4 Stars: The Oingo Boingo farewell concert, Halloween 1995. Not quite perfect, but close enough that it sticks with you.

3 Stars: The Tori Amos show I went to in November 1998. Flawed, somewhat disappointing, and occasionally incomprehensible, but worth it.

2 Stars: A high-school Battle of the Bands. Some great stuff, mostly overshadowed by too many talentless, hyperactive, half-drunk guitarists.

1 Star: The annual All-City Strings concert. People only go to see their kids play the violin, and even then they spend the whole time wincing at every horrendous screech.

0 Stars: A very special 6-hour concert by Britney Spears, Puff Daddy, and Limp Bizkit.
