| CHRISTMAS SPIRIT So you're up there and we're down here, but it's Christmas all around, It's winter now upover, with frost upon the ground, But in the land downunder, we celebrate the day, At swimming pools and barbeques, we like it, just this way. Our families bring us gifts to share, you sit around your fire, Drinking egg-nog, singing songs, of this you never tire, But in the land downunder, our ways are strange it's true, We find ourselves a nice cool place, quite please that we aren't you. Your feast is also different, piping hot to keep you warm, Ours is rarely hot you see, cold food is quite the 'norm', You sip your egg nog, warm your toes, And keep the fires burning, While we in turn, find comfort, watching cooling fans, a turning. No matter where we are on earth, the Christmas Spirit lives, Downunder or upover, it's love the family gives, Brings forth the best in all of us, as we gather close today, Merry Christmas from downunder, peace to all, this Christmas Day.
