GRAVITY
A nonsense poem, from Birdie
Ever thought of what it's like, to be upside down like me? I'd never keep my hair done, if not for gravity, All of us in Aussie land, would have suckers on our feet, To stop us flying into space, oh what a fate to meet. Our floors would be the ceiling, our sky would be the ground, And all the lovely flowers, would be flying all around, The birds would always walk around, not soaring in the sky, And when the lawns need mowing, the grass would be up high. So gratefully we all accept, it's part of some great plan, To keep us firmly on the ground, and upright if we can, We like to think it's normal, to be 'downunder' here, And walk around the 'right' side up, not standing on our ear Now aren't you all so grateful, that we're stuck here on the ground? The world would start a tilting, and 'upover' would be found, Hanging upside down like us, or falling off the planet, And GRAVITY'S the reason why. I'm just so pleased we have it.
Just something a little lighter than normal....to break the monotony of serious writing LOL...hope you enjoy a lighter look at 'downunder'.
