Mark

Mark is the tallest Picks member ever, standing a fraction short of 6-foot-2, whatever that's worth. He owns an impressive hat collection that includes several dominant lids from across the country, from Seattle's Space Needle to Yellowstone National Park to the Chicago White Sox. The three-time Picks champion even has hats celebrating his titles from 2003 and 2006. His fitted hat size is 7 3/8 if you're interested in contributing to the collection.

Mark qualified for Picks membership when his sister married into the crazy Picks family. His temporary residence in her family room in 1998 got him primed to compete on NFL Sundays. He came barreling out of the gates with a 23-5 record, which tied the best two-week start of all-time. He cooled off, though, and took fourth place in his rookie year.

The 41-year-old PlayStation fanatic, whose alter-ego is track star Udubu from Kenya, has an ongoing streak of winning the championship every three years. His best result was in 2003 when he trounced everyone with a 158-73 record, which ranks fifth-best in history. Mark produced the best record in any season's final week when he went 11-1 in 1998. His competitiveness has earned him the league's highest career winning percentage at .636, but that fire in his belly also got him booted from a little girls softball game.

Mark's true pleasures in life are Six Flags Great America, motorcycles, Merichka's restaurant, late-night "24" marathons, the Wildcats opening cans of whoop-ass, French Silk pie, super-heating Big Boys around The Core, Ultimate Fighting Championships, lightning-quick water slides, pro wrestling, oversized remote-control cars, Culver's cheese curds, Linkin Park, Silent Hill, Dr. J highlights with Chocolate Thunder, snow and water skiing, classic cars, nasty wrecks in ATV, treasure hunts, surround-sound systems, Jeff Gordon, Mountain Dew, go-cart racing, pizza deals, Frisbee golf, dominating in bags, nailing triple 20s on the dartboard, and dragging landing gear into the ocean on flight simulators.

His enthusiastic style of reading helped fuel the evolution of the zany Picks stories in the early 2000s, and his influence has greatly increased the league's entertainment value. Make sure to give him a call if you're ever looking for a body shop. He'll identify 97 possibilities in your neighborhood.

In 10 seasons, Mark has a record of 1,427-817 (.636).
