Alicia

If you're reading this profile out loud, there's a good chance you're being recorded because Ali's digital recorder seems to go nonstop every day. Leave her a goofy message if she secretly leaves the recorder unattended with the red light on.

The 16-year-old defending Picks champion is known lovingly as the Teenage Bird, showing off her NFL knowledge before she even entered the Picks in 2001. Ali started her practice picks at age 3 with a solid season, and the following year finished two games better than the 1997 Picks champ. Lucky for the rest of the group she was years away from the qualifying age of 9.

Ali takes viola lessons, sings hundreds of songs, and is self-taught on the piano, so there's no shortage of musical talent with this pint-sized Picks member. She's been known to answer to a variety of nicknames, most recently Ralphie.  Don't ask where that came from.

Ali has conquered every challenge put in front of her, including eating eight Reese's peanut butter cups in three minutes, independently cruising through the neighborhood with her white cane, and riding the world's fastest roller coaster in 2004. Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point in Ohio accelerates to 120 mph in four seconds, so the Teenage Bird was really flying. Ali also conquered Campaign 54 by reaching a height of 54 inches by summer 2006 so she could ride any roller coaster on Earth.

In her first Picks season, Ali tied her veteran father for fourth place by gaining nine games on him over the final two weeks. What a power surge! She captured her first Picks title in 2007 with a spectacular record of 154-74 (.675), which ranks eighth-best in history. That year she also set the Picks record for best four-week stretch by going 40-10 (.800) from Week 5 through Week 8.

Ali is absolutely crazy about the TV shows "Lost" and "Journeyman," weather radios, pizza bread, horror movies, pasta salad, the Wilmington Loyalty Song, writing stories, Black Anaconda at Noah's Ark, maple and brown sugar oatmeal, songs that tell stories, riding her tandem bicycle, bashing Daddy in Pig Latin, boogie boarding in the ocean, London accents, Sony CD players, fudge brownies, visiting friends, barbecue potato chips, fooling dad with Braille contractions, midnight snacks, running in open fields, chocolate chip Pop Tarts, instant messaging and 3-way calling on her bedroom phone. What Ali doesn't like is ice in her drinks, so just serve them straight, please.

She's good friends with a published author and knows coaches and players from the Chicago Comets beep baseball team. Ali also acts as a human calendar and phone book. Off the top of her head, she can quickly figure out on what day your birthday will fall in any given year.

In seven seasons, the Teenage Bird has a record of 951-634 (.600).
