Someone has said:
Thanksgiving is Thanks-Living; I believe it! As I recall other Thanksgivings, I
think of family and friends, food and fellowship and always thanking God for life and His
many blessings:
the sun to shine
by day,
the moon by
night,
the stars,
beautiful
sunrises and
sunsets,
birds
singing,
wildflowers
and the very air that we breathe.
I am aware that every breath I
take is a gift from God for He knew me in my mother's womb. Psalms 139:13 I
believe He has guardian angels 'round about to protect me. Psalms 34:7
There was a time when I didn't have my priorities
right for I loved my children more than God; God can deal with honesty. Now, He is
#1 in my life and I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I am His and He is mine!
The Holy Spirit was
the greatest blessing of my life for His spirit bears witness with my spirit that I am a
child of God; it is a little taste of Heaven. When I pray, distance is nothing with
God for no wall is too high or too thick that He cannot hear and answer in His
timing. NOT MY WILL BUT THINE BE DONE. In His wisdom, I can trust Him to know
what is best for me and mine; I am limited and can only assume. Daniel waited 21
days (Daniel 10:3) for the angel to come to his aid but the angel assured Daniel
that his prayer had been heard when first prayed; evil forces had hindered and caused the
delay. (Ephesians 6:12)
Someone has said: God plus nothing is faith.
If God be for us, who can be against us; who can separate us from the love of God?
(Romans 8:35). As I keep focused on God and not circumstances, I am encouraged that
ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE - ONLY BELIEVE. (Mark 9:23) Struggle is a beautiful word; it
is in our trials and 'storms of life' that we are able to trust and obey and feel close to
God ... to God be the glory for the victories won! Don't waste the storms for the
battle is the Lord's! (2nd Chronicles 20:15)
I
close with Micah 6:8: He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord
require of thee, but to do justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with thy God?
